My Musical Hobbies

Hi everyone,

Finally, I'm back after a few days. I do apologize that I wasn't able to post new blogs lately. Anyway, now I will be posting about my passion. Aside from writing my own ideas. I am an explorer.
Back in High School I've always been a person eager to be on top of the game (not academically). I want to be top on what others can do. For me to explain it further below are the list of my hobbies and passion that I am still trying to continue in spite of my busy schedule.

1. Playing guitar

I've started playing guitar when I was in the 5th grade. My best friend Jessa taught me how to play it. I was inspired seeing her playing the guitar with the boys in our class. I wanted the idea that she can do what other boys can do (My inner feminist was already aware back then..lol). I practiced using my brother's guitar. With or without his consent I used it :P. Two years later, I got my own guitar with the help of my parents. With good grades, I requested them to buy me a guitar. Davis is my 1st guitar that got broke after a week. I brought it to school for a presentation and one of my classmate accidentally hit it while it was quietly sitting at the side of the room. Good thing that it's still working. No automatic alt text available. No automatic alt text available.

Years have passed my music from opm to pop shifted to my current genre which is christian music. I joined the Music Ministry in the Light of the Youth Community way back 2011 and eventually became the Worship Ministry Head. The demands for presentation increases so last year 2016 I bought my first expensive guitar.

Playing guitar has always been my passion. Even though with my current busy schedule I still take time playing it. It has boost my self-esteem and I think it's the very 1st achievement I've done for myself. Playing guitar for myself and for the glory of God.

2. Playing the Piano

Playing the piano for me was like playing the guitar but instead of using only my left hand to do the chords or notes. In the piano I have both hands to do so.

I started playing the piano when I was in my second year in college. I have to be honest. I am not really good in playing the piano unlike the guitar. I got interested how Taylor Swift and other musician can play both the guitar and the piano. Upon finishing my first year in college. I immediately bought myself a keyboard but this time with my own saving. With it I started to teach myself how to play. I've also used it in my other presentation in church.

3. Ukelele baby

With my inspiration from the series How I Met Your Mother. My boyfriend knew that I wanted to learn how to play the ukulele as well. In my 24th birthday he bought me a ukulele. Since then I started to play the ukulele. Unlike the guitar and piano, I play my ukulele for my past time. I honestly can't play it in church as well :P.

4. Singing and Dancing

Even before I learned how to play instruments. Singing and Dancing has always been my passion since the 1st grade. With my sister, we sing and dance at the same time trying to copy our favorite idols back then (One of them was Christina Aguilera :P).
Both of us was able to bring it even in our chosen fields. As a Worship Leader I am very blessed to have the position since I can sing and dance at the same time. Image may contain: 1 person

How do I balance my life?

For a person to have a balanced life I believe that we should know how to weigh our priorities without jeopardizing others. As a student, employee, daughter, sister and girlfriend. I honestly have a hard time to do so. Four years ago I've decided to balance my life so I divided all my priorities into five: 1. Physical Physical priorities will be the things and activities that will help me improve physically. In one of my previous post I mentioned that I go to the gym. That is one thing for me to balance myself. Other activities might be joining fun runs, eating healthy foods, drinking 8 glasses of water everyday, 6 to 8 hours of sleep everyday, delegating "me time" part of the week and many more. I started small by exercising 15 minutes every morning and then later I joined the gym for boxing. The good thing about setting a priority for this activity is that I am not only exercising I am also learning self defense. 2. Spiritual Spiritua

My BLEPP 2018 - Registered Psychometrician Journey

This year has been a roller coaster ride for me. Little people know that I am actually reviewing for my board exam while having my thesis writing 1, comprehensive exam and working at the same time. Only a few people know that I'm planning to take the boards and they all thought that it was a career and educational suicide. I can still remember my sister telling me that it was like a double edge sword. If I fail in my board exam my self-esteem will be jeopardized that will cause decrease performance on my comprehensive exam and thesis writing 1, and will probably affect my work - because of depression? I think. I honestly don't care anymore. I've been dreading to do this for years and now I am tired of being afraid. I am ready to do it now.  Graduate School Comprehensive Exam - My folder Five years of fight or flight Reviewing for my boards - downloaded since I'm on self-review I graduated from college 5 years ago - May of 2013 to be exact
